The Local Government-level Training for Supervisors and Enumerators that the National Population Commission (NPC) had originally scheduled for Thursday, April 13 has been postponed.
Isiaka Yahaya, the Commission’s Director of Public Affairs, said in a statement on Wednesday that the change was motivated by “some emerging issues” and that a “new date will be communicated to the public.”

From May 3 to May 7, the National Population and Housing Census is planned to take place.
The following was stated: “The Commission wishes to inform the general public that the LGA-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators scheduled to commence tomorrow, 13 April, 2023 has been postponed due to some emerging issues.
“The new date will be communicated to the public in due course. We assure Nigerians that the Commission remains committed to conducting a credible and acceptable 2023 Population and Housing Census and that all preparations are in top gear.
“Consequently, we advise the public to disregard any message contrary to this information and we regret any inconvenience this postponement may have caused the functionaries.”
