Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth, a prominent Nigerian comedian, claims that he has never been acquainted with Ayo Makun, also known as AY, and accuses him of lying over a N30,000 debt.
Okpocha eventually spoke up in a podcast interview with the Honest Bunch on Glitch Africa after AY accused him of being chilly towards him over a N30,000 debt.

Additionally, he said that Ali Baba was the one who connected them and that, based on the insider knowledge he received, AY would never have had any kind of connection with him since he was surrounded by very skilled individuals.
Basketmouth declared: “Just to set the record straight, AY is not my friend, we have never been friends. I’ve never visited his house, I’ve never personally invited him to my house. I’ve never called him any day to hang out. And it’s easy to tell because if you look on social media, you will never find a picture of me and AY.”
