His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeshina Sulaimon Raji, the ONIBA of the IBA kingdom, voiced his displeasure on Thursday over a Facebook rumour that claimed he supported crime and criminality in his town.
According to a post that went viral on a fake Facebook page on February 12, the monarch was allegedly helping a guy named “Sholee” who belonged to a cult organisation commit crimes in the kingdom and outside.
However, the monarch said that the rumour was untrue and that it was an evil and savage declaration of cruelty intended to degrade his reputation and his personality.
The State Chairman, Parks & Garages Administrators, Lagos State, who doubles as the ONIBA of IBA Kingdom, said that he has no tolerance for disorder or criminal activity around him.
In a statement made available to insightnaijatv, the monarch stated, in part: “My attention has been drawn to a malicious, malignant and a vicious statement of cruelty targeted at degrading my image and personality,I am a king with high integrity and has zero tolerance for nonsense expecially crime.
“I am in no way connected to such person,I am sure that post is the handwriting of mischief makers and success haters who are only good at brewing tensions and downgrading fellow humans.
“My hatred for criminality has geared my initiative to improve security in my environment through which I have donated logistics such as vehicles to track criminals to Iba Police Station,I have also single handedly built a Magistrate Court in my community which I handed over to the State Government.
“So,if I am aiding and abetting criminals ,would I have done all that?,I am a king that loves peace and hates violence,”he said.
The king, however ,call on the State Security Service, the Commissioner of Police and other relevant security agencies to immediately look into this despiteful and blasphemous act and bring such perpetrators to book.
“I am calling SSS and C.O.P to act accordingly as the act is not only denting my image but also inimical to my personality,”he said.
