If Atiku Abubakar wins this month’s presidential election, he has pledged to free Nnamdi Kanu.
At a rally for the party’s presidential candidate on Saturday in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, PDP Chairman of the Board of Trustees Senator Adolphus Wabara said that the IPOB leader will be released within the first 100 days of the candidate’s presidency.

“Atiku has pledged to free our son from prison within the first 100 days of his presidency. He has no fear of anyone. He’ll fulfil his pledge, Wabara said.
Along with his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, Governors Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, a former vice president named Namadi Sambo, and members of the PDP Board of Trustees, Atiku had already arrived at the Umuahia Township Stadium for the event.
