The All Progressives Congress presidential campaign event in Bauchi State was cut short due to a defective sound system.
The event, which was taking place in Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium on Monday, January 23, 2023 was cut short when the light went out just after the APC’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, mounted the stage and began delivering his address, and could not be restored.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who was present at the event, was forced to depart with his entourage immediately.
Buhari landed in Bauchi about 10:20 am to join the All Progressives Congress’ presidential and governorship campaign rallies.

He was greeted by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed. Others includes the APC party chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, the governor of Plateau State and director general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Simon Lalong, the president of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the former chief of the defence staff, Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazzau, Andy Ubah, and the governors of Borno, Kebbi, and Yobe states, Babagana Zulum, Abuba
Following a courtesy visit to the palace of Dr. Rilwanu Adamu, the Emir of Bauchi, Buhari then travelled to the Sir Tafawa Balewa stadium, the location of the campaign event.
