The election of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as president of Nigeria, according to Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, will jeopardise national unity.
Fayose, who openly supports Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s flag-bearer for president and a former governor of Anambra State, said his decision was motivated by his opinion that Nigeria’s next leader must be from the south because Muhammadu Buhari, the current president, is a Northerner.
Fayose revealed the following in a post on his well-known Facebook page on Thursday: “Voting Atiku is a threat to our national unity.
“Very dangerous game!”
