Abayomi Arabambi, the Labour Party’s interim national publicity secretary, has been fired just two months before the 2023 general elections.
The executives of the party’s Ogun State chapter were also disbanded by the National Working Committee of the party, which made the decision on Friday, December 09, 2022.

It was learned that the Ogun executives of the LP were allegedly engaged in anti-party activities.
Following the suspension of Dr. Doyin Okupe, Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, by Ashade and others, a press conference was held at which the suspension was announced.
Okupe and 11 other members were said to have been removed due to unpaid membership dues.
