In order for the Peoples Democratic Party to have a chance of winning the presidency in 2023, former governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose has urged the party to talk with Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party.
PDP leader Fayose also referred to Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s presidential candidate, as “a semi-cancer” while making the statement during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He also demanded that the PDP engage in talks with its displeased Governors.
“Obi is a danger to watch out for,” Fayose said. “I don’t believe Obi will make 25 percent in two-third of the states. I am not against Obi, I love him and he’s a very vibrant leader. But based on my own permutations, he can’t make 25 percent.
“Obi is more of a chronic cancer to PDP.
“In the South-West, I don’t see how PDP will win. anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us. I don’t see how PDP will win in the South-East. The South-South will be a combination of all interests.”
“Reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing,” he added.
