Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has guaranteed Benue inhabitants of public safety and security that will increase their ability to produce, a planned strategy to increase food production.
Obi provided the guarantees during his presidential campaign, which was hosted in Makurdi’s IBB Square after his arrival with notable Nollywood figures like Kenneth Okonkwo.
He-man Hembe, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor in the state, requested that Obi check into the attacks by alleged herdsmen that have caused nearly two million people to be displaced and numerous fatalities.
The former governor of Anambra State bemoaned the fact that the Federal Government only made token efforts to put an end to the killings in Benue.

Obi’s running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, claimed that the Obi administration will show the populace new ways to attract investment in the state, which has been dubbed a civil service-based economy. Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, also made a similar claim, which resonated with the crowd: it is time to change all the poor purchases Nigerians have been making.
