The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has replied to the security alert from the US and UK that terrorists were preparing fatal strikes in Abuja.
Adeboye, who in a sermon said that some Nigerians are defenceless and have nowhere to flee to, much like tourists leaving for their various destinations, stated that God had not forewarned him of any imminent attack on the nation and urged Nigerians to find peace with God.
It doesn’t matter what the reports may be saying, he continued. We have seen something about to happen in Nigeria, so we are running home, the major nations of the world can claim.
“There are some of us, we have nowhere to run to; but we know tomorrow is going to be alright. I am not saying those people who said something is going to happen are lying. I don’t know; even though my Daddy didn’t tell me that.

“He didn’t have to tell me everything anyway, so I don’t know. But all I know is that it doesn’t matter what happens; as long as I belong to Jesus Christ, My tomorrow will be alright. Colossians 1:27. Be at peace with God and if you are not at peace with God then you have cause to be afraid. Psalm 112:7, Psalm 23”.
Recall that the citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Bulgaria were alerted of an upcoming terrorist assault in Nigeria and told to evacuate the country.
They claim that alleged terrorists might target government structures, houses of worship, educational institutions, markets, shopping centres, inns, lounges, dining establishments, sporting events, terminals for transit, law enforcement offices, and international organisations.
In the nation’s capital, the news had clearly increased tension as some private businesses closed their doors out of fear of being attacked.
