Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham, has stated that he is unable to explain his team’s 2-1 loss against Liverpool on Sunday, November 07, 2022.
Tottenham fell in front of their supporters after two goals from Mohamed Salah and one from Harry Kane.
It’s hard to explain the loss, Conte said to Sky Sports following the game. We were due far better. However, I was content with my ambition and will during the first half. We applied a lot of pressure to Liverpool and were perplexed as to how we fell down 2-0. We played very well and generated many of opportunities in the second half. We struck the post and crossbar, and the goalkeeper made some wonderful stops.
Unfortunately, this type of game is challenging to explain, even though the performance was excellent. When we lose, our supporters can’t be joyful, but when your team fights to the bitter end, you have to be proud.

You need to come up with a new solution if you want us to have this kind of performance during a challenging time when we are dealing with several injuries. It was a smart move to use Perisic and Kane as strikers. We would have given ourselves up to Liverpool if we had played with just one striker.
We are a squad, and having three or four injuries makes it tough for us to compete in the Premier League and the Champions League. However, having this sort of performance against Liverpool made me happy. It demonstrated the success of our efforts.
The crowd made an effort to encourage the athletes all the way through, and they were grateful for their tremendous effort. In the second half, we made numerous attacks and chances. It was an unfair outcome.
