Bola Ahmed Tinubu was referred to as a potential tyrant on Tuesday by Dele Momodu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential campaign committee.
Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Mr. Momodu claimed that the former governor of Lagos State was a despot who wished to have everyone submit to his whims and caprices.

He said that his dictatorial style of rule caused the suffering of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Lagos governors Akinwunmi Ambode and Babatunde Fashola, as well as his deputy governors.
According to him, only Bola Tinubu had two deputy governors, and both of them got into difficulty. I am only implying dictatorship here. I’ll never be in favour of a dictatorship. In my opinion, dictatorship is wrong, and Bola Tinubu is a prospective tyrant.
“I will never support a dictatorship,” he said. “I suffered under dictatorship. I was in detention, I was in exile for three years. Dictatorship has no way in my books.
“So once you begin to demonstrate dictatorship, I will move back. He (Tinubu) is a potential dictator.”
