The number of Special Assistants on Political Units employed by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has increased from 28,000 to 50,000.
This was revealed in a statement issued on October 13, 2022 by the governor’s spokesperson, Kelvin Ebiri.

“Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reviewed the appointment of Special Assistants on Political Units from 28,000 (Twenty Eight Thousand) to 50,000 (Fifty Thousand),” the statement read.
Recall that Governor Wike appointed 28,000 people for various political units in the state on Wednesday. 14,000 Special Advisers, 319 Ward Liaison Officers, and 40 Local Government Area Liaison Officers were all included in the appointment.
According to a statement made by the governor’s spokesperson, Kelvin Ebiri, “In addition to the 14,000 advisers, Governor Wike has also selected 319 Ward Liaison Officers and 40 Local Government Area Liaison Officers,” the 14,000 advisers will reportedly play a vital role in the administration.
