The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched its presidential campaign ahead of the general elections in 2023 at the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Atiku tweeted some photographs on his Twitter account, showing that he arrived in Uyo last night. Okowa, Emmanuel, and Mohammed were with the former vice president, who expressed his happiness at being in Akwa Ibom State.
Akitu Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate and former vice president, as well as Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State, and Udom Emmanuel, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, are among the dignitaries present at the South-South State.

Other leaders in the party include former lawmaker for Kogi West, Dino Melaye, and the governors of Bauchi and Adamawa, Bala Mohammed and Ahmadu Fintiri.
Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and his friends, including Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State, and Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, were not there because of the turmoil engulfing the PDP that developed after Wike lost to Atiku in the PDP presidential primary.
