France player Paul Pogba has admitted to hiring a witch doctor. The 29-year-old believes he paid the sorcerer to help him with his injury-plagued career, according to the Mail on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Pogba denies any connection to international teammate Kylian Mbappé and claims he “never intended to harm anyone.”
The player, who joined Juventus last summer, told investigators from France’s Central Office for the Fight Against Organized Crime (OCLCO) that he was “seeking to be safeguarded against injury” as well as “helping impoverished youngsters in Africa” through an aid organisation.
Two judicial sources in Paris confirmed the allegations and the transcript from last month’s interviews.

Pogba’s admission comes after his brother, Mathias, said that ‘The Marabout,’ also known as ‘Ibrahim the Great,’ was paid to cast ill spells on Mbappé.
Five people have been charged, including Mathias, with attempting to blackmail Pogba out of more than £ 11 million.
They are currently being held on remand and face up to 20 years in prison on a variety of counts, including “extortion in an organised gang.”
