On Wednesday, September 21, 2022; Senator Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, received the support of four candidates running for office in Osun State in the general election of 2023 on the New Nigeria Peoples Party platform.
The candidates, Senator Clement Bamigbola of Osun Central, Bolaji Akinyode of Osun West, Senators Olalekan Fabayo and Oluwaseyi Ajayi of Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila and Ijesa South, respectively, blamed their decision to abandon Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso for Tinubu on the lack of transparency in the national leadership of their party.
Bamigbola continued, “In view of the prevailing circumstances within our party and after due consultation and approval of our supporters, we wish to announce and declare our support and endorsement to the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, while speaking to the media in Osogbo on behalf of other candidates.
This is due to our discontent with the party’s national leadership as well as the stakeholders’ unwillingness to work in accordance with the principles of justice, law, and undemocratic party management.
