The Election Tribunal in Osogbo has allowed Ademola Adeleke, the newly elected governor of Osun State, permission to inspect the papers of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The tribunal also granted the PDP leader’s request for a forensic audit of the BVAS machine.
The Tribunal’s Chairman, Justice Tertsea Kume, accepted Adeleke’s request to inspect and undertake a forensic audit of the BVAS machines.
When speaking with reporters, Mr Hashim Abioye, one of Adeleke’s Counsel, stated that a full forensic audit of the BVAS system used for the election was required.
Remember that on August 22, the Tribunal gave permission to Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his All Progressives Congress party to inspect materials used in the Osun State 2022 governorship election.
ADELEKE won the July 16 election, defeating incumbent Governor Oyetola and others.
Oyetola is suing Adeleke and INEC after his list was rejected in court.
