Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has revealed that if President Muhammadu Buhari insists on holding a free and fair election in 2023, the All Progressives Congress, APC, will suffer a defeat.
Wike commended the president for vowing not to intervene in the 2023 election during the flag-off of development work on Igwuruta internal roads in the State’s Ikwerre Local Government Area.
“I thank Mr. President for his desire to leave a legacy of organising a free and fair election,” Wike said.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for stating that you will not meddle with or intimidate anyone.” That suggests your party has no chance of winning.”
Buhari who guaranteed on Tuesday that Nigerians’ ballots would be counted in 2023 stated that in the next election, Nigerians would be able to choose their leaders at all levels.
Nigerians, according to Buhari, will appreciate the APC in the next six months.
