Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, often known as Charly Boy, is a well-known musician and actor. He has announced that he will host the largest gathering ever in support of Peter Obi, the Labour Party‘s (LP) presidential candidate.
On Thursday, September 01, 2022, Charly Boy announced that he had officially endorsed Obi for the 2023 presidential election on his verified Twitter account.
If either Bola Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), respectively, wins next year’s presidential election, the septuagenarian artist had declared in June that he would go to Ghana.
When Obi visited Charly Boy last month, Seun Kuti, a colleague in the music business, was also there.
“Finally, I officially supported Peter Obi today on Kakaaki. I’d hold the largest rally ever before this month is over,” Charly Boy declared.
