In order to support the Centre for Black Arts and African Civilization (CBAAC) celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Festival of Arts and Culture held in 1977, The Voice of Nigeria (VON) has promised to provide support.
Thursday in Abuja, Chief Oluwabunmi Amao, Director-General of CBAAC, paid a courtesy call to the VON headquarters. Mr. Osita Okechukwu, Director-General of VON, made the commitment at the meeting.
Amao revealed this on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in a statement.
From December 5 to December 11, the 45th anniversary of FESTAC’77 will be held under the theme “Celebrating Black and African Arts and Civilisation, Reliving the Memories of FESTAC’77.”
The two organisations’ identical mandates, according to Okechukwu, were a major plus for CBAAC’s ability to be heard on a worldwide stage like VON.
He pledged the entire support and involvement of his organisation to the CBAAC team.
Moreover, he stated that VON would endeavour to develop a gateway for CBAAC on its official website, ensuring that the event will be advertised in a variety of languages.
Amao previously stated that the purpose of her visit to VON was to inform the organisation of CBAAC’s plans to host FESTAC’77 @ 45 and to solicit their support and cooperation in order to ensure a successful outing.
To convey the event to the world as a whole from the planning stage to the actual execution in December, Sh, however, asked for VON’s assistance.
In addition, Okechukwu and several of his management board members visited the Black and African Hall of Fame at the Centre, where Amao and a few other staff members welcomed them with open arms.
