Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, has boasted that the planned street protest against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi won’t draw more than 200 of his followers.
El-Rufai tweeted this in response to “Kaduna Two Million March for Peter Obi,” which was written by a certain @ZamarOmar.
The governor appeared to be making fun of the Igbos by calling them “imports” who are unable to open their businesses on Mondays.
In Kaduna? tweeted El-Rufai. Not on Twitter in Kaduna? I hope 200 people show up, including the “imports” who arrived by overnight bus last night and can’t open their stores on Mondays.
The governor declared, “I just dey laff, tallahi!”
Street protests have already been held in support of Obi, with huge numbers recorded in Nasarawa and Calabar.
