Victor Ndoma-Egba, a former majority leader in the Senate, predicted that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential nominee, would triumph in the 2023 election despite the backlash against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Since the former governor of Lagos State announced Kashim Shettima as his running mate, many Nigerians have voiced their concerns, according to InsightnaijaTV.
Victor Ndoma-Egba, however, described the scenario as a highly emotional matter while speaking with journalists on Friday.
Even though not everyone agrees with the APC’s stance, the former lawmaker believes that Tinubu would win the election.
“I wish the APC had options available to it,” he remarked. The Christian community should now present the party with its charter of demands.
“Not everyone is happy (about the Muslim-Muslim ticket) but APC will win nevertheless”
Ndoma-Egba emphasized that Tinubu has the credentials and track record necessary to lead Nigeria and push the nation to the next level.
Speaking about the state election, he claimed that Bassey Otu of the APC is favored due to the geopolitics of Cross River.
Ndoma-Egba noted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which enjoys the backing of the majority of the populace, will face its first serious test in 2023.
He said: “For once it is not and the PDP in the State is not used to being out of power. It will be a fish out of water.”
