Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has extended an invitation to Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the House of Representatives, to dedicate the houses used by the members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
He invited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu two days before to inviting Gbajabiamila.
According to reports, Wike personally invited Gbajabiamila in a letter to officially open the legislative quarters his administration had constructed.
The commissioning will occur on August 12, 2022, a Friday.
The Speaker will officially open the Legislative Quarters and help the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly take possession of them.
Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, a former governor of Sokoto State, had visited Wike on Tuesday morning.
Wamakko, who was welcomed into Wike’s rural estate, is reportedly in Rivers State to officially open the dualized Ogbunabali road in Port Harcourt.
After a disagreement with the PDP’s leadership, Wike has been meeting with governors of the party in power, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
