Oyo State’s governor, Seyi Makinde, has stated that state enemies will be dealt with.
During the Hijrah 1444 luncheon on Wednesday at the Government House in Agodi, Ibadan, Makinde declared that he would not let the state’s adversaries prevail.
Makinde revealed that the criminal elements were the adversaries of the state.
Chief Bayo Oyero, Senator Monsurat Sumonu, Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi, Alhaji Hammed Raji (SAN), and Sheik Taofeek Akewugbagold were among those who attended.
Speaking to the group, Makinde revealed that the state’s security system has been completely revamped under his administration.
He claimed that criminal elements are the only opponents of the state.
However, he swore that his government will deal with the adversaries no matter who they were.
Who are our enemies? They are the criminal elements, but we will deal with them in Oyo State no matter who they are.
“Who are our enemies? They are the criminal elements, but whoever they are, we will deal with them in Oyo State.
“So, we are trying our best and we will continue to ensure Oyo State is safe and secure.
“Secondly, those who think they can separate us through religion won’t make any headway because the two religions(Islam and Christianity) are in our families.
“In Oyo State, we have a Hijab policy. If that policy is going to change, there must be engagement with stakeholders and I am happy to say that we are ready to have that engagement.
