Nigerian musician, entertainer, and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has shared a cryptic message, saying he is “tired” of his 45-year-old marriage to his wife, Diane Oputa.
Oputa who took to his Twitter page on Tuesday, August 02, 2022 reflected on his marital struggles, saying he was tired and was considering being a bachelor once again.
“My People, If I tell una say, after over 45yrs of marriage to my wife, that I am going back to bachelorhood, what would you say?” he wrote in pidgin.
Charly Boy, who declared that marriage is not easy, said that the institution of marriage gets tougher as it progresses.
“I don talk say dis marriage of a thing just no easy. The longer you stay, the harder it gets. What should I do? I tire o.”
Commenting under his post, another Twitter user, @Po_li_cap_ , advised the singer to try settling the rift amicably with his wife.
Area Fada, as he is also known, replied that there is no “beef” between himself and Diane, but he was just tired of the marriage.
The singer married Diane, an African-American singer in 1979. The couple renewed their vows in 2018.
