The nation’s security forces, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, have been granted complete latitude to deal with the terrorists and criminals causing havoc in the nation.
Buhari was responding to a slew of terrorist attacks and fatalities in the Plateau, Sokoto, Kaduna, and Federal Capital Territory.
According to Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Buhari reviewed the situation after hearing reports that the attacks had claimed several lives.
He gave assurances to state governments that the federal government would back them.
“We have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness,” Buhari said.
“I condemn these barbaric attacks on the country. I wish to assure the states of all possible support from the government of the federation.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly.”
