According to Samson Oluwamodede, a well-known evangelist in the southwest, the Nigerian economy is not doomed because things would soon start to improve significantly.
The claim was made in recently published predictions that the General Overseer of the Prayer Centre Church of God, PCCG, released.
The upbeat priest claims that the outlook for the economy is encouraging in the near term, stating that Nigeria will soon experience an economic “boom” and the struggling currency would regain its strength.
According to Oluwamodede, the forces warring against the country’s progress that led to the economy’s problem will shortly be defeated before next year.
The priest from Akure who made this declaration in the capital of Ondo State urged Nigerians to fervently pray for safety from “calamity” in the remaining months of the year.
He claims that the holy spirit revealed to him that the naira, which is currently worth more than 700 to a dollar, will soon be worth N10.
The prophet claimed that he has previously foretold that Tobi Amusan will bring glory to Nigeria while reiterating that he does not make fake prophecies.
“Our economy will boom and it would affect all the sectors which would start working again. Children of God, you have to pray tirelessly.”
Oluwamodede said “no one should yet give up on the current state of things in the country,” revealing that the country would undergo a transformation from bad to good, particularly in its economy.
He continued by predicting that the country would soon see a new dawn and exhorting Nigerians to have more faith and confidence in God.
The preacher continued by saying that without the prayers and donations of religious believers from all around the country, Nigeria would have been in worse shape, proving that the Church of God in the country has not fallen short of its responsibility to aid in nation-building.
