Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, has named Oserheimen Osunbor, a former governor of Edo State, as the leader of a 65-person campaign think tank.
Adebayo Shittu, the Director General of the Tinubu Campaign Organization, reportedly announced this on Wednesday during the think tank’s inauguration in Abuja, InsightnaijaTV reports.
According to the former minister of communications, Osunbor would have the support of several people, including two vice chancellors who are currently in office.
If Tinubu is elected as the country’s next president in 2023, according to Shittu, the think tank will translate Nigerians’ hopes for the presidency into a practical action plan.
The action plan, according to the former minister, would aim to give Nigerians a realistic hope that ensures progressive development and transformative governance.
The young people and all Nigerians, he expressed hope, will ensure and be assured of a peaceful, secure, collaborative, progressive, and successful Nigeria if the appropriate policies are developed and executed.
Shittu said: “The mandate of the team was to seek from Nigerians their expectations from the Tinubu presidency when it resumes in government.
“The team would then formulate these yearnings and expectations into a workable and implementable action plan seeking to return to Nigerians a realistic hope that guarantees progressive change and transformative governance.
“We trust that once the right policies are evolved and implemented, the restive youths in particular and all Nigerians, in general, would ensure and be assured of a peaceful, secure, collaborative progressive and prosperous Nigeria.”
