On Wednesday, a few senators apparently left the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, after he allegedly refused the Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, permission to lead the motion to remove Major General Muhammadu Buhari from office.
The Peoples Democratic Party senator Aduda and a few others then left the plenary.
It was discovered that several parliamentarians had threatened to impeach the President due to their displeasure with the nation’s deteriorating security situation.
It was heard that legislators questioned Senate President Ahmad Lawan about why the topic of insecurity was not on the Order Paper at the start of the plenary on Tuesday.
