The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has reportedly been named the Director-General of the campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. Former presidential adviser Reno Omokri has responded to the news.
As seen by InsightnaijaTV, a source close to the APC leadership revealed that Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the party and senatorial candidate, had been selected as the head of Tinubu’s unofficial presidential campaign council.
El-Rufai was also appointed as the Director-General of the campaign council by the former governor of Lagos State.
In a message that was shared on Twitter, Reno referred to the action as a subliminal act of war against Christians and questioned whether he could not find a Christian to lead his campaign.
He wrote: “Tinubu named El-Rufai as the DG of his campaign? Wow! This is a subtle Jihad against Christians?
Presidential candidate-Muslim
Running mate-Muslim
Now DG is also-Muslim
“You mean that of the many Christian Governors in the APC, Tinubu could not find a Christian to be the DG of his campaign? Not even one? He had to pick Nasir El-Rufai, a notorious enemy of the Body of Christ, as his DG? Perhaps it is not a coincidence that Naira is ₦666 to $1 today! Is that a sign?
“The only time they needed Christians was for the Fake Bishops show they gave to Nigerians.”
In order to discuss the upcoming general elections, Tinubu and his running companion Kashim Shettima met with several party leaders.
According to InsightnaijaTV, the gathering took place on Wednesday at the presidential flagbearer’s home for the APC in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, and Simon Lalong of Plateau State were among key APC participants present at the meeting.
APC National Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore, former Tinubu running mate Ibrahim Masari, and former APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole were also present at the meeting.
