Under Mallam Adamu Adamu who has been minister of education for seven years, we have university and colleges of education students at home! I beg to ask, what else does the minister do every day in his office besides treating memos that he cannot address this lingering and embarrassing reality?
In other climes, people resign when they fail to address a serious concern under their purview, here people sit tight even in the face of glaring ineptitude and helplessness.
As they say, usually, the buck stops at the desk of the president , but is it not a shame to continue to preside over what the president has given and has overwhelmed you? Are you tied to this same office that you have failed to make it work? If the president has the wand how come he brought you onboard?
The same way the naira has collapsed under a seasoned banker who is surrounded by egghead economists at the CBN. In the days of Kemi Adeosun, you would see her on TV giving citizens confidence, here the minister in charge of the economy lives in purdah and give no damn to explain to citizens what’s happening.
In all of these, we give thanks to a president who won’t fire but allow people to act with such impunity and indignity. See the victims of the Kaduna Abuja train kidnap, no one speaks to us about their plight, no single government official or security head deems it fit to talk to us and the family of these abductees. Everyone seems to be aloof in the face of these helpless situations.
Mr President, act now or never, the people you sent to do the work are in deep slumber. Scarily musing.
