Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, has urged foreign investors to come to the country and conduct business.
Mohammed also denied claims that the nation is a war zone or that there is persecution of some religions there.
Speaking on Saturday at an investors’ fair called “Africa Walk” in Lagos, Mohammed charged the opposition with demonizing the nation through false information.
Mohammed claimed that individuals opposed to the Muhammadu Buhari administration were spreading misinformation and added that Boko Haram terrorists had been defeated in the North-East.
“We were elected on the three pillars of the economy, security, and anti-corruption.
“We have not left any stone unturned to turn things around despite the numerous challenges.
“The Boko Haram sect and Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been severely degraded.
“We are also tackling banditry with the same vigour with which we have taken on Boko Haram and ISWAP.
“It is a matter of time for bandits to be decimated too,” Mohammed assured.
Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna North Central, has raised concern over the activities of terrorist bandits in Nigeria.
As previously reported by InsightnaijaTV, militants threatened to kidnap and assassinate President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria in a video that was posted on Sunday.
The terrorists vowed to kidnap and kill Buhari and Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in a video footage that InsightnaijaTV was able to obtain.
On Sunday morning, Senator Sani obliquely responded to the treats by tweeting that the current administration must act quickly.
The legislator noted that terrorists had, in the majority of cases, been successful in their operations, taking victims hostage and only releasing them in exchange for a ransom.
According to Sani, the terrorists’ goal, as seen in the most recent video they posted, was to fight a psychological battle to get the government to pay heed to their demands.
