The visit by Peter Obi to the home of former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been denounced by African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, and his running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, visited with Obasanjo on Sunday, according to InsightnaijaTV.
Other attendees at the conference included Oseloka Obaze, a previous contender for governor of Anambra, and Ituah Ighodalo, Senior Pastor of Trinity House Center in Lagos.
On response to the visit, Sowore said on Twitter that the search for new leadership is rooted in a complete denial of the traditional politicians.
He wrote: “Our quest for a new and radical leadership is rooted in a total rejection of the the old crooked & criminal order! #WeCantContinueLikeThis”
