In response to Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s remarks about Ademola Adeleke, the PDP candidate for governor of Osun, winning the election, Nigerian singer Davido has responded.
InsightnaijaTV reports that, Oyetola stated in response that the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership is currently analyzing the results of the governorship race.
The Osun Governor stated that the APC would respond after evaluating the results of the poll in a statement issued on Sunday through his chief press secretary, Ismail Omipidan.
Oyetola urged his followers in the state to maintain their composure and conduct themselves without obstruction.
He also urged the state’s security personnel to maintain the upkeep of law and order.
In response to the statement, Davido encouraged the current governor to only congratulate his successor on Twitter, his micro-blogging service.
He wrote; ”What you should be doing is calling to congratulate your successor.. Forget studies”
