“Even as our message continues to gain broad acceptance, there are some we still need to work to convince. In expressing ourselves, we should do so with grace so as not to precipitately shut doors to future collaborations on sustainable nation-building”, Mr. Peter Obi, said.
Everyday I see the palpable support for the Labour Party ‘s candidate on social media but what is lacking the marketing of product by its adherents.
It is suffice to say that most Obidient servants can not differentiate between disagreement as part of discussion and being disrespectful. There is this height of unnecessary aggression, pride, arrogance and sheer rudeness in Peter Obi’s supporters and this could lead them nowhere if nothing done . Politics is about reaching out, negotiation and marketing. No be fight!
My advice, let the Obidient Servants take out time to write at least one paragraph to market their product rather than coming to comment session of their perceived adversaries to vent displeasure and as your product rightly puts it on the avalanche of dissenting voices. Obi said to his supporters to be tolerant avoid joining issues with opponents.
His words: “I sincerely thank my supporters for believing in me and my commitment to building a united, secure, and well-functioning Nigeria. However, I appeal once more that we should be tolerant of other people’s views, dissent and divergent opinions & possibly learn from them.”
“While the frustration and anger in the country are understandable, we must strive to channel that energy positively in ways that will earn the support and collaboration of others.
“Even as our message continues to gain broad acceptance, there are some we still need to work to convince. In expressing ourselves, we should do so with grace so as not to precipitately shut doors to future collaborations on sustainable nation-building”, Mr. Peter Obi, said.
In so doing you will be wooing a lot of followers. Democracy is about engagment, conversation, and not shoving people who do not align with your political views.
A Political product fails because the marketers ( Adherents) dissipate their energies in the wrong direction rather than canvassing for penetration and gaining more acceptability across all boards.
As someone said Obi is a lesser evil but not a saint. So, do a SWAT analysis on your product and win more converts.
A good product also needs marketing or else you will be limited in revenue.
