Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, paid a visit to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at his house in the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday night.
Tinubu, who had previously paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, now pays a visit to Osinbajo, one of the candidates in the APC Presidential primary poll, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, said in a tweet that the vice president received a call saying Tinubu will stop over to greet him and have a chat.
He said Tinubu arrived alongside Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and that the Vice President welcomed them together with other of his allies.
The meeting, which lasted around 30 minutes, was cordial and productive, according to Akande.
He wrote: “We got a call: Asiwaju Tinubu who was visiting President at his Presidential Villa residence this evening will be making an unscheduled stop at VP’s residence also.
“Lagos Gov accompanied him & VP received the surprise with some of his associates whom he was meeting with earlier.
“The meeting was one of the pleasantries and very convivial. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes.”
