Pastor Tunde Bakare, a well-known clergyman and the current Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, restated his intention to be Nigeria’s next president on Tuesday.
Pastor Bakare, who was invited to speak on his presidential ambition at the All Progressives Congress’s national conference, said he is not standing down for anyone.
The presidential candidate stated that he is simply stepping forward to become Nigeria’s 16th president.
Bakare asked a minute of silence at the convention grounds before delivering his decision on the presidential election, in honour of those killed in the Sunday morning attack at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
Bakare went on to say that he is the ideal candidate to lead Nigeria forward, claiming that the majority of presidential candidates are unworthy of the position.
He promised that he will handle the country’s problems.
