The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, on bond.
She was released late Friday night after completing the conditions of her bail set by the investigators investigating her case.
The former Speaker will report to the EFCC on a regular basis to assist with future investigations, according to EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren.
On May 17th, she was arrested for alleged shady financial conduct with Phil Jin Projects Limited.
According to reports, the NDDC has granted Phil Jin Projects Limited a contract to provide solar-powered street lights to various Akwa Ibom settlements.
Even though the contract was valued at N240 million, the company received N287 million.
Patricia Etteh was eventually given N130 million by Phil Jin Project Ltd.
The anti-graft agency is looking into why the former minister received the funds despite not being a director of the company.
