Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, a presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC), has resigned from the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Amaechi formerly served as the Minister of Transportation for more than six years.

According to sources close to Amaechi, he “sent his resignation letter today.”
President Muhammadu Buhari ordered all Federal political appointees seeking electoral office in the upcoming general elections to retire last week.
The appointees were given until today, May 16th, 2022, to comply with Buhari’s instruction.
