The police in Abia announced on Sunday that a suspected thief known as “Bouncer” was electrocuted in Aba while stealing from a church.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, the Abia Command Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, corroborated the claim.
He said that the “area-boy” known as “Bouncer” was electrocuted while attempting to steal electrical appliances and other equipment from a church in Aba.
Despite the fact that the police did not have his genuine identity, Ogbonna said his body had been deposited in a mortuary.
The event occurred on Saturday at midnight at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Agbarevo Street, off Omuma Road, in Eziukwu-Asa-Okpuaja in Aba South Local Government Area, according to worshippers.
According to a church employee who requested anonymity, the church had recorded multiple robbery events in the past, with no one ever being apprehended to account for several missing items.
“A bouncer’s voice was heard shouting ‘Oh Jesus’ inside the Church premises about midnight on Saturday,” he added of the April 30 incident.
He said they discovered the street urchin’s body early on Sunday morning after the shout, confirming suspicions that the thief resided near the church.
He claimed the dead jumped into the church grounds through the back gate, dismantled other equipment, and then cut cables when power was restored, electrocuting himself.
There is definately a lot to learn about this subject. I like all the points you made.
