Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has declared his candidacy for President in 2023.
On Saturday in Abuja, Bello formally announced his intention to run for President.

Senator Jonathan Zwingina, Femi Fani-Kayode, and other prominent Nigerians were present at the event.
Zwingina branded the Presidential candidate as a detribalized Nigerian who leads Kogi with appointees from other states.
Zwingina emphasized that Nigeria requires Bello as President, stating that the “governor uprooted insecurity from Kogi, the state would have been a breeding ground for kidnapping and banditry, but for his leadership skills.”
