At least seven children, all under the age of eight, have been brought to the hospital after being allegedly given sleeping tablets by a 7-year-old child.
On the afternoon of March 23, around 5.30 p.m., police were dispatched to a home in Hopewell, Virginia.
At first, authorities discovered four unconscious youngsters, all under the age of four. They discovered three more people who were awake but sluggish in another part of the home.
One of the children was only one year old, and the other was only two years old.
Investigators suspect a seven-year-old youngster delivered some of his sleeping drugs to a house full of children, according to WTVR.
All seven children were rushed to John Randolph Hospital, but the two youngest were transferred to another hospital and are now in critical condition.
