The owners of CBT centers have been encouraged to remain calm in the face of the country’s excessive diesel prices.
The appeal was made by Prof Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), who stated that the Board is aware of their struggle due to the high cost of diesel in the country.
Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Relations and Protocol, delivered his message in a statement.
The Registrar spoke while on the final lap of the 2022 UTME/DE registration monitoring tour, which is set to end on March 26.
He stated that JAMB was consulting with key government authorities in order to provide remedies as part of its holistic solution strategy.
Oloyede reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to providing vital support to its service partners at all stages of the organization’s operations.
The Registrar acknowledged that many examination centers rely heavily on diesel-powered generators to conduct the exams.
“JAMB would always go the extra mile to render support to its critical partners such that no service provider would have any excuse for failure”, he said.
Oloyede also promised that required palliatives will be provided to CBT centers within government-approved limitations.
The official reaffirmed that the deadline for the selling of 2022/23 UTME application documents to potential candidates, which was set for March 26, 2022, would not be extended.
