Willie Obiano, the immediate-past governor of Anambra state, and his wife, Ebelechukwu Obiano, have been released from arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
InsightnaijaTV last night, reported that the former governor was apprehended on his way out of Nigeria on Thursday night.
Remember that Obiano finished his two-term, eight-year stint as governor of Anambra on Thursday.

The former governor was apprehended at the Murtala Mohammad International Airport in Lagos around 8.30 p.m. as he prepared to board a flight to Houston, Texas, according to the Commission.
Willie Obiano, 66, spent his first night in detention as the former Governor of Anambra State in the custody of the anti-graft agency.
