Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, has exposed what an Igbo President would do to Nigeria in 2023.
Obasanjo remarked that having a Southeasterner as president will bring the country together.
On Thursday in Abeokuta, the former president shared his opinions with a 2023 Presidential aspirant, Mao Ohuabunwa.
He argued that it was time for Nigeria to reconcile, which might be accomplished by supporting a presidential candidate from the Southeast area.
According to him: “Beyond bringing unity to Nigeria or being the cement that holds Nigeria together, I believe that Southeasterners can model hard work and entrepreneurship.
“This will help in wealth creation and fight against poverty, which is ravaging Nigeria.”
He also cautioned Ohuabunwa that running for president is a difficult task.
Meanwhile, the beleaguered Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, met with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday.
InsightnaijaTV reports that the ruling party’s chieftains convened in Abuja.
Francis Nwaze, Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State, confirmed this.
However, while posting images from the meeting in a Facebook post, he did not give any details about the meeting.
