The Lagos State government has denied the appointment of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, nicknamed MC Oluomo, as Managing Director of the Lagos State Transportation Parks and Garages Management Committee.
This comes as one of the former Lagos NURTW council chairman’s kids, named on Instagram as King-westt, used the platform to congratulate his father on his new position.
“Congratulations, Alh. King Musillu Akinsanya Ayinde,” he wrote. The Lagos State Transportation, Parks, and Garages Management Committee is led by the GM/MD Lagos State Transportation, Parks, and Garages Management Committee. OOOO” Oye Amori OOOO”
When reporters contacted the Lagos State Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, he insisted the news was untrue and should be ignored.
He went on to say that because MC Oluomo’s son does not work for the government, he cannot speak on its behalf.
Akosile said; “MC Oluomo’s son doesn’t work for the government and so can’t be quoted as speaking for us on the matter. There’s no such thing as that”
Following weeks of extended strife and leadership wrangling, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) suspended MC Oluomo.
The letter, dated March 9, 2022, instructed MC Oluomo to turn over all union properties in his possession to the state secretary and to delegate leadership to his deputy.
