Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid rallied from two goals down on aggregate to reach the Champions League quarter-finals with a thrilling 3-1 second-leg win against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
After scoring the game-winning goal in the first leg, Kylian Mbappe put PSG in complete control of the last-16 tie by scoring in the 39th minute at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Gianluigi Donnarumma, the visiting goalkeeper, gifted Benzema a goal shortly after the hour mark. The Frenchman scored twice more in the final two minutes as PSG’s defence crumbled and Real advanced with a 3-2 aggregate victory.
