David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, may have made approximately N1.352 billion in gross revenues from his show in London’s 02 Arena.
Davido’s ticket was available for £41.25, £144.41, and £178.4 in three separate price categories.
Based on these figures, the average price of a ticket sold was £121.36.
Using the Central Bank of Nigeria’s official exchange rate, translates to an average ticket price of N67,616.2.
The 02 Arena in London has a seating capacity of 20,000 people, and with an average ticket price of N67,616.2, Davido will make a total of N1.32 billion from the show.
Davido had run a successful campaign in cooperation with the local music streaming subscription platform through the renowned mobile phone network MTN.
The multi-award-winning singer drew some of Nigeria’s most well-known figures, who flew to London to witness the show.
The show featured celebrities such as Cubana Chief Priest, Eniola Badmus, Patoraking, and Williams Uchemba, among others.
The ‘FEM’ singer revealed a few days ago that the performance tickets were completely sold out in a tweet.
Davido posted on his Instagram account shortly after arriving in London last week, saying that he had entrusted the show to God’s hands.
His post read, “I put today in God’s hands. He has never failed me! @theo2london, it’s game time.”
Hotels in London, United Kingdom were reportedly fully booked before the start of the show.
While confirming this, Tunde Ednut wrote, ”London is full right now. Hotels are getting booked out all for OBO!!! It’s a sold-out concert.”
