After placing a series of bets for the Super Bowl LVI (American football) game on Sunday, Canadian rapper Aubrey Graham, better known by his stage name Drake, earned N158.47 million ($381,000) in bitcoin.
Drake bet $600,000 on the Los Angeles Rams to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, and the former won 23-20, netting him $306,000.
According to Decrypt on Monday, the “hotline bling” singer, who reportedly owns $1.6 million in CAD bitcoin, also bet $500,000 on Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to score one touchdown during the game, which Beckham did before leaving the field due to injury.
Drake pocketed $575,000 for that touchdown, bringing his total profit to $381,000 ($306,000 and $75,000), but Beckham’s inability to finish the game prevented him from cashing out on his third bet.
Drake had also wagered $500,000 on Beckham gaining at least 62.5 receiving yards, but because the Rams wide receiver was unable to finish the game, Drake’s bet was only partially successful.
The player is a big supporter of bitcoin, and last year he requested that his entire $4.25 million salary be paid in the digital currency.
Other bitcoin activities followed the Super Bowl, with crypto promoters, Coinbase, and FTX running a promotion to increase BTC holders.
The Coinbase website went down after the cryptocurrency exchange offered new users $15 in free bitcoin, while FTX used an ad to offer 7.54 BTC to some Twitter followers.

Whats up are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and create my own. Do you need any coding knowledge to make your own blog? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on a number of websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
