Dr. Lekan Balogun’s nomination as the future Olubadan of Ibadanland has been endorsed by ten of the Olubadan-in-eleven Council’s members.
The Council also ruled out the possibility of a legal squabble delaying the Olubadan throne’s succession.
The Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola, said this at a kingmakers’ meeting on Wednesday.
According to Ajibola, the kingmakers decided that Dr Balogun would be the next in line to succeed to the kingdom of Olubadan, as per custom.
He also debunks reports concerning the impending Olubadan-health elect’s and well-being.
He claimed that all of the unfavorable media reports were unfounded.
Members of the Olubadan-in-Council are in attendance, with the exception of former governor Rashidi Ladoja.
